Title I  

students receiving Special Education Services and non-public schools. Compensatory Education Program funds supplemental services needed to raise the academic achievement of K-12 students to basic and advanced skills. Additional support may be provided through staff development, and health and guidance services. Parents who have children being served have the opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of the program. Parents of children identified for the program must be notified at an annual meeting held by the school. A Title I/CEAC advisory committee composed of parents of participating children, school staff, and community, works cooperatively to increase student academic achievement.

FUNCTION

The Title I/CEAC advises the SSC on the development and implementation of an effective supplemental program and/or services that meet the needs of Title I students.  Parents of children being served have the opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of the program through activities such as development of a parent involvement policy, home-school compacts, parent training, and volunteer participation in school activities.
